BTC deputy chief Gobinda Basumatary visits Udalguri Civil Hospital

Gobinda Basumatary, the BTC deputy chief and MLA of Udalguri constituency, visited Udalguri Civil Hospital and took stock of the COVID situation.

UDALGURI: Gobinda Basumatary, the BTC deputy chief and MLA of Udalguri constituency, visited Udalguri Civil Hospital and took stock of the COVID situation. He was accompanied by Puspadhar Sarma, the Principal, Udalguri H S School, and Sandeep Chamaria, advocate of Gauhati High Court.

Gobinda Basumatary had a long discussion with the hospital superintendent and other doctors. He also discussed the facilities and requirements of the hospital and assured them of all possible help from his end. In the meantime, the total number of COVID cases in the district is 1,526 in the second wave. Among them, 939 have been discharged from the hospital and 27 have died so far in the district. The number of active cases was 560 on Tuesday.
