BTC nominated members take oath of office in Kokrajhar

Six government-nominated members of BTC, namely Madhav Chandra Chetri, Sarnapawati Deka, Wilson Hasda, Hemanta Kumar Rabha, Pradeep Kumar Bayan and Arpana Medhi took oath of office at BTC Assembly auditorium in Kokrajhar on Tuesday.

KOKRAJHAR: Six government-nominated members of BTC, namely Madhav Chandra Chetri, Sarnapawati Deka, Wilson Hasda, Hemanta Kumar Rabha, Pradeep Kumar Bayan and Arpana Medhi took oath of office at BTC Assembly auditorium in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. BTC Speaker Katiram Boro administered the swearing in ceremony in the presence of BTC chief executive member Pramod Boro, deputy chief Gobindo Chandra Basumatary and other executive members.

In his speech, BTC chief executive member Pramod Boro congratulated the nominated members and appealed to them to work for the people. He said that people had many expectations from this government and thus they needed to work with positive mindset. "Our ideology may be different but we all need to work for all-round development of the Bodoland region. If we can work as a team, we can bring lots of development. We need dynamic hardworking people. I am sure and hopeful that we elected members and government officials will work as a team and carry on with our agenda of developmental work," he said and called upon all to work hard to fulfill the expectations of the people. The BTC chief also stressed the need of digitalizing all the departments in the Council for smooth and proper functioning of work.
