SILCHAR: It was a great and memorable moment for the students with brilliant results at their High School Leaving Certificate Examination of 2019. The two toppers holding 8th position Anisha Roy of Holy Cross School and 10th position holder Paarsaa Tanseem Barbhuiya of Silchar Collegiate School in particular have been highly admired and appreciated at different academic centres and accorded warm felicitation. The district administration of Cachar chose to felicitate two more brilliant students of Public Higher Secondary School, Silchar, Dipankar Sutradhar scoring 79% and his classmate Rahul Biswas securing 73%, missing the merit list very closely.
Anisha, Paarsaa, Dipankar and Rahul were felicitated by Keerthi Jally, the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, at a simple function in her conference hall in the presence of a host of media persons both from the print and electronic media. Keerthi Jally congratulated them to say, "The results of students have made us proud and glorified Barak Valley. I appreciate the education department for conducting a seamless and incident-free board examination. We have all gone through the tension and pressure of examinations. It is a great feeling to see students coming out with flying colours."
The Deputy Commissioner has words of encouragement for those students who tried their best with a sense of commitment, dedication and determination but could not score the marks. "This is not the end. Have patience and perseverance. My good wishes are with you all," said Jally. Dipankar and Rahul are the best examples of how to face odds and adversity and overcome them. She is confident both would prove their mettle in future. Life provides ample opportunities. Students have only to seize them and move on."
Rajiv Roy, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Education, welcomed all at the function. Also present on the occasion were Inspector of Schools, Semina Yasmin Sara Rahman and district elementary education officer, Sumitra Deb.
