Cachar district administration felicitates toppers in commerce stream

SILCHAR: Barak Valley as a whole is proud of the three toppers in the commerce stream of Assam Higher Secondary Examinations of 2020 from two distinguished private colleges of this town, Ramanuj Gupta Junior College and Vivekananda Commerce College. On Friday, three brilliant students, two girls and one boy, were accorded warm felicitation by the district administration of Cachar in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner in presence of a host of officials and the media persons.

Keerthi Jally, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar congratulated to the great applaud of all present Binita Saha (3rd) and Aditya Dutta (9th) from Ramanuj Gupta Junior College and Sumita Roy (8th) from Vivekanand Junior Commerce College for their commendable performance and achievements in making the entire valley proud. Conveying her best wishes on their refulgent success, she said, "The results have made all of us proud. Education department deserves kudos for conducting examinations in a seamless and fair manner. We all as students have gone through pressures and pulls during examinations. But the greatest feeling comes to see students coming out with flying colours."

Along with the three toppers, Krishna Roy of Government Girls Higher Secondary and Multipurpose School also of this town, was honoured for securing 72.8 percent marks, overcoming a lot of obstacles and adversities at home. Keerthi Jally also had words of inspiration to those who could not do well and wished them success in their future. She also spoke of women empowerment and the success of girls in the last High School Examinations do give indication of how they are overtaking boys in many areas of challenges.

Rajiv Roy, ADC, (Education), and Semina Yasmin Yaara Rahman, Inspector of Schools, too congratulated the students for their excellence in outstanding performance. District Elementary Education Officer Sumitra Deb was also present on the occasion.
