A career counselling session was organized at Lakhimpur Commerce College located in North Lakhimpur town to keep its students on track on the present job and placement sector.

LAKHIMPUR: A career counselling session was organized at Lakhimpur Commerce College located in North Lakhimpur town to keep its students on track on the present job and placement sector. The session was organized by the Information and Career Guidance (ICG) Cell of the College in association with Sankardev IAS Academy, Guwahati. The career counselling session was inaugurated by Dr Lohit Hazarika, Principal of the college and was attended by a large number of students as well as teachers. Retired IAS officers Sawpnanil Baruah and Shibendra Singh attended the session as resource persons. Addressing the students Swapnanil Baruah said, "Apart from taking the field and market (Pathar aru Bazaar), Assamese people should take control of the administration also to ensure a secured and sustained future. We have delivered a counselling covering a wide-ranging issues and challenges and informed the students to be informed while attempting any competitive examinations." The ex-faculty of Chanakya IAS Academy Shibendra Singh also addressed the students at the session. The coordinator of ICG Cell of Lakhimpur Commerce College, Dr Bibha Dutta anchored the session with assistance by professors Deepjan Gohain and Pankaj Lochan Das.
