Ceiling collapses once again in Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital building

Fuelling the controversy regarding the security and safety of the patients in (LMCH) afresh, ceiling of one of the buildings of the medical institution once again collapsed.

LAKHIMPUR: Fuelling the controversy regarding the security and safety of the patients in Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital (LMCH) afresh, ceiling of one of the buildings of the medical institution once again collapsed.

This time, this incident happened at the Children and Maternity Hospital under the LMCH. On Monday night around 9:30, some pieces of the ceiling of the maternity ward, which is located at the ground floor of the building, collapsed and fell down. The pieces of the collapsed ceiling fell on a bed. Fortunately, the incident caused no casualty as the bed was vacant at that time. But the other beds of the ward were filled with maternity patients. As per report, the patient of the bed was discharged the same day in the morning. The incident instantly led to hue and cry among the inmates of the ward.
