Charan Narzary felicitated for clearing APSC exam

Charan Narzary of the remote village Ranipur under Gossaigaon subdivision, who cleared the APSC examination

KOKRAJHAR: Charan Narzary of the remote village Ranipur under Gossaigaon subdivision, who cleared the APSC examination, was felicitated by teachers, students and local organizations at a simple function held at Jalaishri High School on Tuesday. He was warmly welcomed and felicitated with traditional Aronai.

Narzary who was born in a farmer's family in the forest village of Ranipur. He cleared the APSC examination in the third attempt. The headmaster of Jalaishri High School, Akhil Basumatary, who chaired the felicitation ceremony, felicitated Narzary with traditional Aronai. The Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS), Gossaigaon district committee, Gudi Bathou Afat, Gossaigaon district, ABSU, Jalaishri unit committee, Dularai Bathou Coordination Committee and individuals felicitated Narzary and his parents.

In an interview with The Sentinel, Narzary said he was a student of Jalaishri HE School (Venture) from where he passed his matriculation in third division in 2004. He passed the HS (Arts) exam in 2007 from Kokrajhar Government College and BA with honours in Economic in 2010. He completed his master's degree from Pondicherry University in 2013. Later, he studied Master of Population Studies at the International Institute of Population Science, Mumbai and passed out in 2014.

Narzary said that he was not a meritorious student but his efforts for the civil service examination helped him reach his goal. He said that one should study hard to become successful in the civil service examination. The third child among total five brothers and sisters, Charan Narzary faced various hardships. His elder brother helped him financially. He thanked the teachers of Jalaishri HE School. Tuleswar Narzary, father of Charan Narzary, expressed his happiness at his son's success.
