TEZPUR: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday paid a visit to Tezpur University. The visit aimed to underscore State government’s commitment to promoting education, research, and innovation in the state.

During the visit, the Chief Minister interacted with the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Shambhu Nath Singh along with the Deans, Heads of the Departments, and other administrative officials. The discussions revolved around various topics including the expansion of educational opportunities, strengthening research areas, and improving ranking of the University.

The Chief Minister urged all stakeholders to develop academic excellence by chalking out a holistic plan. He assured all support from state government for the academic development of the University.

The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for accepting his invitation to visit the University, which he extended during his visit to Chief Minister’s Office recently, with his presence.
