Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal reviews COVID-19 situation in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday visited Sivasagar district and took a detailed review of the situation and initiatives being taken against COVID-19. The meeting took place at the Sukafa Conference Hall of DC’s Office, Sivasagar where Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, senior health officials and officials of other departments of both Sivasagar and Charaideo districts were present. The CM also reviewed the steps taken so far to tackle novel coronavirus in the two districts.

While talking to media, the Chief Minister said that utmost care, precaution and social distancing should be taken to keep away from novel coronavirus infection. Sonowal also maintained that the state health department has been putting its all efforts to defeat any sort of eventuality. He also stated that his government has decided to increase the number of hospitals in the state by constructing new ones. State Revenue and Disaster Management minister Jogen Mohan, Sonari MLA Nabanita Handique were also present at the review meeting.
