Chirang district administration conducts training for Orunodoi month

In view of the Orunodoi month celebration, the Chirang district administration conducted two training programmes

KOKRAJHAR: In view of the Orunodoi month celebration, the Chirang district administration conducted two training programmes for supervisors and verification team members at the auditoriums of Kajalgaon High School and Bijni College on August 2 and August 3 respectively.

Both the training programmes were inaugurated by Chirang Deputy Commissioner P Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy in the presence of local MLAs and other officials.

During the training, Assistant Commissioner of Chirang, Kushal Kalita gave presentation on the roles and responsibilities of supervisors and verification team members, how to conduct verification at field level and use of Orunodoi mobile application for reporting beneficiary information through Power Point.

The trainees were also taught how to find out ineligible beneficiaries from the existing beneficiary list and delete such beneficiaries from the list in view of providing benefits of the scheme to the actual beneficiaries.

As part of the plan, each VCDC area will have four members of college students under the supervision of a government official to verify the list of beneficiaries of Orunodoi scheme in the district and these five member teams will be divided into two groups to go door-to-door in a VCDC area to recheck the list of beneficiaries.

The district administration has formed two separate teams for Kajalgaon and Bijni subdivisions for this work. Additional Deputy Commissioner Nirmali Barua told the media that the team from Kajalgaon subdivision will work in Bijni subdivision area and the team of Bijni subdivision will be engaged in Kajalgaon area.

Along with officials of district administration and various departments, Sidli MLA Jayanta Basumatary and Bijni MLA Ajay Kumar Roy attended the training programmes held at Kajalgaon High School and Bijni College respectively.
