BONGAIGAON: Following information, Chirang Police nabbed two persons with drugs on Thursday. A police source said that in an operation conducted by Chirang Police on Thursday, one vehicle bearing registration number AS 16 AC 2144 (Mahindra JEETO mini van) was intercepted at Bherbheri road under Dhaligaon PS of Chirang district.

"During search, four small plastic containers containing suspected psychotropic substance (total weight 0.370 gm), Bhutanese and Indian currency notes and mobile handsets were recovered and seized," said the source.

Two persons named Ful Kamal Ray, son of Naren Ray, a resident of Joyma No. 1 village under Gossaigaon PS of Kokrajhar district, and Nitya Nanda Ray, son of Brindaban Ray, a resident of No. 2 Hashrawbari village under Gassaigaon PS of Kokrajhar district were apprehended in this regard. Follow-up action is being taken accordingly by police as informed by the police source.
