Numaligarh: The CISF Unit of NRL at Numaligarh is carrying out manifold activities under Swachhata Pakhwada. The series of programmes and activities started on December 1 and will last till December 15.
The CISF unit organized massive cleanliness drives recently in Letekujan School, Kalpataru College Academy, Baba Thaan Mandir, and Letekujan Hospital and has further scheduled Swachhata activities in churches, mosques and other public places of Numaligarh area in the coming days.
Further as per MHA guidelines, on Saturday, the CISF Unit of NRL, Numaligarh figured plastic waste management as a prominent activity under Swachhata Pakhwada and organized a plogging event (jogging and picking up plastic/litter) from Baba Thaan Mandir to Deopahar, an archeological site on NH-39. Harendra Narayan, Group Commandant from Guwahati, Paul P. Chasie, Deputy Commandant, and Suraj Khude, Assistant Commandant, joined with Unit personnel for this Swachhata Abhiyan. The CISF unit is also organizing many activities under the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ campaign.
Earlier, on December 4, CISF officers organized a comprehensive career counseling programme at Kalpataru Academy, Bishnupur. On December 6, the unit organized a cultural programme showcasing cultures of different States.
GOLAGHAT: Swachhta Pakhwada is being celebrated all over the country from December 1 to December 15, under which a cleanliness drive was carried out by the 142 Bn CRPF in Jonaki Nagar area of Golaghat on Saturday in order to accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to create awareness among the people. Omprakash, Commandant, Neraj Kumar Singh, Second-in-commandant, and others took part in the drive.
