CM Himanta to lay foundation for 193 crore projects under Bihpuria LAC

LAKHIMPUR: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will visit the Lakhimpur district on December 12. On that day, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the implementation of a slew of developmental projects under Bihpuria LAC to be implemented with the investment of funds amounting to Rs 193 crore. The initiative has been taken under the 'Fortnight of Development' (Bikashor Poshek) of the Government of Assam, that commenced from December 5 to upcoming December 20.

On that day, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the construction of road-cum-embankment of Dikrong Right Bank Embankment from railway guide bundh to Madhupur (A) Part-1 (Ch. 0.00m to Ch. 1700.00 m and 8700.00 m to 10000.00 m) (B) Part-II (Ch. 0.00m to Ch 2300.00m and 6800.00 m to 9600.00 m) under RIDF-XXVII of NABARD for the year 2021-22 with the investment of Rs. 1231.57 lakh, Madhabdeva University at Narayanpur with the investment of Rs. 5684.76 lakh, upgradation of Government Polytechnic Institute and ITI as Centre of Excellence (Construction of Workshop and Tech-Lab) of Lakhimpur Polytechnic at Bihpuria) with the investment of Rs. 503.64 lakh, construction of Pichala Krida Santha Playground (Mini Stadium) at Tatibahar under SOPD with the investment of Rs. 1075.44 lakh and construction of Kokchabari to Hawajan Road (Gohpur-Dholpur Road) with the investment of Rs. 8971.00 lakh.

On the same day, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate the Deori Tribal Cultural Complex, constructed with a fund of Rs. 497.00 lakh at Narayanpur, construction of Border Out-Post (BOP) constructed with a fund of Rs. 69.52 lakh at Moinajuli, improvement of road from Bihpuria to Pathalipahar connecting NH- 15 via Barbali, implemented with a fund of Rs. 10 crore, construction of PWRD Bungalow at Bihpuria with the investment of Rs. 137.00 lakh and construction of Duplex Type Inspection Bunglow at Narayanpur with the investment of Rs. 136.54 lakh. Notably, the Chief Minister will visit the same district on December 18 too to inaugurate the implementation of several developmental projects under Lakhimpur LAC.
