KALAIGAON: Kalaigaon College kicked off its three-day College Week from January 2. The first day’s programme started with flag hoisting by Arabinda Das, principal of the college. Various competitions were held during these three days.
On the concluding day on January 4, an open session was held and it was inaugurated by Kamal Prashad Sarma, mouzadar of Silpota Mouza. After that, Dhaneswar Medhi, president of Kalaigaon College managing committee, addressed the gathering.
Meanwhile, Dipamani Baruah Das, Reader of Gauhati University, took part in the meeting as chief guest. Several dignitaries like Debanjan Sinha, along with other professors, attended the programme. Prizes were also distributed among the students who won the competition in the college week. A colourful cultural function was held in the evening.
