NALBARI: The Committee on Local Fund Accounts (CLFA) of the Assam Legislative Assembly visited Nalbari on Saturday and after a brief field visit, the committee addressed a meeting at the DC’s office conference hall.
The committee comprised members viz. MLAs Chakradhar Gogoi, A K Rasheed Alam, Zakir Hussain Laskar, and Manoranjan Talukdar, among others. They were joined at the meeting by District Commissioner of Nalbari, Varnali Deka, CEO Zila Parishad, Moon Gogoi, ADC Chayanika Thakuria, BDOs and heads of all relevant departments.
The committee briefly reviewed the progress of the projects and schemes currently under process in the Nalbari district, including MGNREGA, PMAY-G, Deendayal Antyodaya National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY- RLM) (ASRLM), Amrit Sarovar, and ongoing development projects in the urban areas. Post reviewing the issues of its concern, the committee sought all possible cooperation from the departments concerned in order to expand the initiatives among people in general while offering the officials the necessary guidance for the same.
