Complaint against employees who got jobs with fake caste certificates

GOLAGHAT: The All Assam Schedule Caste Students' Union (AASCSU) of the central committee lodged a complaint with Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate certain employees who had alleged secured jobs in various departments of the Assam government by submitting fake SC caste certificates.

On Saturday, a statement signed by the president and secretary of AASCSU, Golaghat district committee Pronab Protim Das and Bhrigu Kumar Das respectively, said, "A large number of persons have been engaged in government jobs using forged SC certificates who do not belong to the Scheduled Caste community."

In this regard the AASCSU said that its members carried out an investigation of their own and found a large number of persons who do not belong to the SC community, but are serving in government departments in SC reserved posts by submitting fake SC certificates.

In Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), 15 employees are working in SC reserved posts by producing forged SC certificates, the AASCSU alleged.

Further, the Golaghat district committee AASCSU alleged that a person named Binoy Rajput, a resident of Halmira of Golaghat, has been serving as a teacher using the SC certificate. In this context the chairman of the Golaghat Sub-Divisional Schedule Caste Welfare Board Amrit Kumar Das clarified that Binoy Rajput does not belong to the Scheduled Caste community, the AASCSU claimed . The AASCSU demanded stringent action against the fraud employees who are serving in government departments in SC reserved posts depriving the actual unemployed SC youths.
