GOLAGHAT: Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Assam, political parties and organizations are seen preparing for victory in the elections.
On Monday, the Hindu Yuva Chatra Parishad , Assam alleged that the Congress and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) had conspired to capture some constituencies in Upper Assam. At a press conference in the Golaghat Press Club premises, Hindu YuvaChatraParishad Assam central committee president Bolen Baishya and secretary Madhav Das stated that the Congress and AIUDF were jointly trying to migrate some minority community voters from places like Dhubri, Bilasipara, Abhayapuri, Barpeta, Baghbar and Jania in Lower Assam to some selected assembly constituencies in Upper Assam. With the help of these minority community voters, the Congress and AIUDF were planning to capture such selected constituencies in the upcoming elections, they alleged.
The organization also raised questions on the functioning of the Skill Development Department of the State Government and stated that it had benefited some contractors and middlemen only in the name of providing skill development training.
