Congress has lost public faith, people will vote for BJP government: Himanta

The political parties and the independent candidates, who are in the contest in the Assam Legislative Assembly Election—2021 from the four Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) under Lakhimpur district, have accelerated their election campaign activities in order to gain public support.

LAKHIMPUR: The political parties and the independent candidates, who are in the contest in the Assam Legislative Assembly Election—2021 from the four Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) under Lakhimpur district, have accelerated their election campaign activities in order to gain public support. The ruling party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has organized a number of campaign programmes in various places of the district.

On Monday, North-East Democratic Alliance convener and BJP leader Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma took part in a campaign programme, organized near Lilabari Airport in support of Manab Deka, the BJP nominated candidate of No. 111 Lakhimpur LAC. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma criticized the Congress in strong terms, alleging its failure to lead the State towards development.
