Congress Takes A Dig At MLA Jayanta Malla Baruah, Says Party Will Win Two Seats

Previously, the MLA Jayanta Malla Baruah had stated that he would resign if the Congress party were able to win at least one seat in the Assam Assembly By-elections.

Guwahati: The Spokesperson and Secretary of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Partha Pratim Bora has asked the MLA of the Nalbari Jayanta Malla Baruah constituency to resign, and has claimed that the Congress party will surely win two seats in the by-poll election that was held in Assam on October 30.

This was said in response to MLA Jayanta Malla Baruah's statement saying that he would resign from his post if the Congress party managed to win at least one seat in the Assam Assembly By-Elections.

"As per reports from Booth Level Observers of Our Party, Congress Party is Confirm and Confident of Winning 2 Seats, And also in Tough Fight in Other 3 Seats. I also request Jayanta Malla Baruah to get ready with His Resignation Letter as He said He will resign from MLA if Congress Gets one Seat, We are confident of Winning 2 Seats and a Strong Fight in other 3 Seats," said the Congress leader in a video.

The Assam Assembly By-Elections was held on October 30, 2021, in the constituencies of 28 Gossaigaon, 41 Bhabanipur, 58 Tamulpur, 101 Mariani and 107 Thowra. The polling started at 7 pm on Saturday and concluded at 5 pm.
