GUWAHATI: GNRC Hospitals, Guwahati, has tirelessly pursued its mission of improving the health of the population, for over three decades. Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes have been one of the key elements of this mission. Over the years, medical professionals in the region have benefitted from knowledge of world-class patient-centric healthcare service, through CMEs organised by GNRC, stated a press release.
Continuing this service to the medical fraternity, GNRC conducted knowledge-enriching Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on “Neuro-immunology” at GNRC Hospitals recently by the team of GNRC Neuro Science of Six mile units. The event sensitized the audience about Auto Immune Encephalitis and Demyelinating Disorders: recent advances on Multiple Sclerosis and NMO Spectrum. The CME was attended by over 100 specialists in Neurology and Neuro- Surgery, apart from general practitioners.
The event began with a welcome speech by Dr. Prasenjit Deka, Senior Consultant, Neurology, GNRC Sixmile, followed by lighting of the lamp by Dr Nomal Ch. Borah, Founder of Affordable Health Mission and GNRC Hospitals, Dr Navnil Barua, Director of Neurosurgery, GNRC Hospitals and other dignitaries present were Dr Manash Ghose, Senior Consultant Neurology, GNRC Sixmile, Dr. Thomas Mathew, DM, Prof. Head Neurology, St Johns’ Hospital, Bangalore, and Dr. L J Basumatary, DM, Consultant Neurology.
