COVID-19: 84 people quarantined in Jawaharlal Nehru College, Boko

BOKO: Around 84 people returned from Kerala via special train which reached Guwahati on Tuesday. The district administration took the returnees to the Jawaharlal Nehru College quarantine centre in Boko.

The youths, who came in 16 buses, demanded to be quarantined in the respective districts, in front of the quarantine centre. A police team led by Boko PS OC Jogendra Barman and Boko revenue circle officer Pinky Dutta controlled the situation and they returned 13 buses with passengers out of the 16 buses. Later, 84 youths registered in the Jawaharlal Nehru College quarantine centre and then a medical team took their swab samples for testing. Boko Primary Hospital SDMO Mohitosh Banerji said that they would be under quarantine in the centre till their results came out.
