GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Ministry Himanta Biswa Sarma has shown dexterity in the COVID-19 control that brings him the accolade that he is the best among the Chief Ministers in the states of the country.
This was revealed in this year's "Mood of the Nation Survey" done by the " India Today". According to the survey Chief Minister Sarma could more ably control the deadly pandemic situation.
The second-best Chief Minister in this regard is Odisha's Navin Patnaik, followed by Jharkhand's Hemanta Soren.
According to the survey Assam's Sarma could handle well the situation caused by the deadly new coronavirus well ever since he assumed the charge of the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, the Kamrup (Metro) District administration has initiated a special drive to ensure that each person above the age of 18 years is administered the anti-COVID vaccination. In this regard, the list of people to be vaccinated will be prepared according to the latest voters' list.
Hence DC (Deputy Commissioner) Biswajit Pegu has directed the BLOs (Booth Level Officers) to collect the names of persons yet to be vaccinated by visiting each house at the block level. Then the Supervisors along with other officials including the AROs (Assistant Returning Officers) will coordinate the efforts.
The Circle officers will finally prepare the respective lists and also ensure that the first two doses of the vaccine are administered to everyone.
