HAFLONG: The two-week lockdown in Dima Hasao which started from Monday, evoked very good response from the public. Right from the morning, the roads of Haflong wore a deserted look as no vehicles were on the road. People also were not willing to come out unnecessarily. On Monday, people came out to buy essential items since very few grocery shops were allowed to open for the day. Today being Tuesday, no grocery shop was open at Haflong. Though there has been instruction from the council authority to keep offices open with minimum staff, most of the offices were closed.
