COVID claims one, Sonitpur district logs 26 fresh cases

One more person died due to COVID in Sonitpur district on Sunday during the third wave of COVID-19.

TEZPUR: One more person died due to COVID in Sonitpur district on Sunday during the third wave of COVID-19. Official sources said, COVID-19 positive Krishna Maya Devi (70), resident of Mansiri in Sonitpur district, died at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital.

Altogether 263 tests were done across the district on Sunday out of which 201 were Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and 62 cases were from Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and among the new fresh 26 positive found, 19 cases were from Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and 7 from Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR), sources said, adding further that seven patients were admitted to Covid Care Centres and 19 patients were under home isolation.
