MANGALDAI: With the aim of making the vaccination and testing process for coronavirus a pleasant experience for the people of the district, the Darrang administration has set up a Model Vaccination and Testing Centre at Mangaldai Town Girls' LP School to be functional from May 28 which will be the first of its kind in the district.

Darrang Assistant Commissioner Rini Hazarika stated what set this centre apart from the already functional vaccination and testing centre was that the administration had gone extra miles to ensure that those visiting the centre did not face any hardship, for which ample arrangement for drinking water, waiting room and sanitizer had been made. Moreover, special arrangements have been made for specially-abled persons as well, Assistant Commissioner Hazarika added. "Also, special attention will be paid towards hygiene and cleanliness in the centre," stated Hazarika.

As of now, vaccination in the centre is reserved only for those above 45 years of age but in days to come, those above 18 years of age could also be vaccinated here.
