DIBRUGARH: The Delhi-Dibrugarh IndiGo flight 6E 2031 and Chennai -Guwahati -Dibrugarh flight 6E 2652 was diverted to Guwahati due to poor visibility in Mohanbari airport in Dibrugarh because of bad weather.

As per IndiGo sources, the flights could not land because of the poor visibility.

“Presently, there is no Instrument Landing System (ILS) in Mohanbari airport because of the ongoing runway merging work. We are not compromising with the passengers’ safety,” said an IndiGo official.

This is not the first time, earlier also such incidents happened and flights were diverted to Guwahati before landing at Mohanbari Airport in Dibrugarh. NOTAM should have been completed on June 3 but it was not completed due to bad weather. ILP is a system which provides navigation for aircraft at a time of landing.
