Rangia: On the eve of World Environmental Day, the students and teachers of Delhi Public School, Baihata Chariali, near Rangia in Kamrup district organized rallies in four different places, namely Rangia, Nalbari, Goreswar and Mangaldai on Tuesday with colourful placards. They also shouted slogans.
The rallies were taken out for a noble cause to create awareness among the masses for a better and safe environment. Earlier, the students and teachers of the school took a pledge in the school premises to save the environment.
Sangita Bora, Principal of DPS Kamrup, in her speech said that this initiative was an attempt to lend a helping hand to sustain the depletion of the environment and make a better future. On that occasion, a short skit was also performed with the theme ‘If you can’t reuse it, refuse it’. A plantation drive was also organized in the school premises.
