DEMU train service in Makum-Dangri section to resume from April 12

DOOMDOOMA: After withdrawal of operation of the DEMU train in Makum-Dangri section in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the North-east Frontier Railway (NF Railway) is going to resume its operation from April 12.

In a press release, it was stated that the special DEMU train (07904) will run in between Tinsukia Jn to Dangri on all days except Sunday. In the like manner it will leave Tinsukia Jn at 4.30 am and will arrive at Dangri at 8.00 am in the morning. Similarly, the DEMU train (07905) will leave Dangri at 6.30 am and will reach Tinsukia Jn. at 8 am. The DEMU train would have a total of eight coaches (two Driving Power Coaches and six Tailor Coaches). For the convenience of passengers, the railway authority would make provision for booking tickets in the train.

The significant aspect of the train is its scheduled time. Those required to travel to Dibrugarh for medical, educational or other purposes will be able to board the Ledo - Dibrugarh bound DEMU train at Tinsukia Jn on its return journey from Dangri.
