Dhubri DCand local leaders inspect town and ahead of Puja celebrations

DHUBRI: Dhubri District Commissioner, Dibakar Nath along with the chairman of Dhubri Municipal Board, Debamoy Sanyal and members of Dhubri Community Puja Coordination Committee, walked extensively in the town and Bisharjan (immersion) Ghat on Saturday. Nearly 400 community pujas are held across the Dhubri district including 109 alone in Dhubri town and its suburbs. A huge preparedness is required to put into ground including law and order arrangements to conduct the four day celebration of Durga Puja.

However, more challenging task for district administration and police to manage and monitor the procession by over hundreds of Community Puja with idols of Goddess Durga and others on the day of Dashami, wherein nearly 10,000 puja revellers participate amid musical sound system.

In the mean time, Dhubri Community Puja Coordination Committee held several round meetings and issued many instructions to the community Puja celebration committee.
