Dibrugarh district administration distributed sewing machines to poor families

DIBRUGARH: The Dibrugarh district administration, in association with Marwari Sanmmelan, at a function held at the office of District Rural Development Agency on Monday, distributed 11 sewing machines to poor families who have suffered financially during the COVID-19 pandemic so that they can become self-employed. A handloom was also given to an affected family. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha, District Development Commissioner Sanjay Dutta, ADCs, Rajiv Thapa, Dipu Kumar Deka, Nandita Barua and Assistant Commissioners, Queen Gogoi, and Rishikesh Baruah. The members of Marwari Sanmmelan felicitated DC Jha and other officials of the district administration for their relentless service for containing the outbreak of COVID-19 in the district.
