Dibrugarh police announce cash reward for information

DIBRUGARH: Dibrugarh police has announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 to anyone who provides information related to the pistol which was used by assailants during the attack carried out on Siddhartha Rajkhowa, an employee of Dibrugarh Court on the evening of October 31 in the Laluka area on the NH-37 in the outskirts of Dibrugarh town. Rajkhowa was injured when he was shot by motorcycle-borne assailants while he was returning home on his motorcycle. Police have so far arrested four persons, namely Pradipta Rajkhowa, Pradip Rajkhowa, Rontu Gogoi and Pronob Gogoi in connection with the incident.

A blank cartridge of a fired from a .22 pistol was also recovered from the site. However, till date the police has failed to recover the weapon. Police have provided a phone number (6026901300) for providing information regarding the weapon through phone call or WhatsApp or one can DM on Twitter. Information will be kept confidential.
