Dibrugarh University Inter-College Youth Festival begins at Lakhimpur-Telahi-Kamalaboria College

LAKHIMPUR: The Dibrugarh University Inter-College Youth Festival started at Lakhimpur-Telahi-Kamalaboria (LTK) College, a leading higher educational institution on the North Bank of the Brahmaputra in Lakhimpur district, in a colourful environment. In this connection, festive environment has gripped the entire college campus, which is located amid beautiful natural greenery of the greater Azad area of the district, with the manifestation of the shining talents of the higher educational institutions of North Assam and Upper Assam under Dibrugarh University (DU). It should be noted here that more than 1600 hundred talented students of 72 colleges have participated in the extravaganza which has been held with four-day long programmes at the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Samanway Kshetra, set up at the college campus.

On Monday, the agenda of the dream event of the students studying in the colleges began with the hoisting of three flags. The LTK College flag was hoisted by Principal Dr. Bubul Kumar Saikia while DU flag was hoisted by registrar Dr. Paramananda Sonowal. On the other hand, cultural flag was hoisted by DU cultural coordinator Dr. Surajit Borkataki. Smriti tarpan programme was conducted by College Management and Development Committee president-cum-Reception Committee president Dr. Amiya Rajbonshi. Noted academician Dr. Mukunda Rajbonshi inaugurated the book fair organized in connection with the event.
