DIBRUGARH: The Dibrugarh University Officers' Association organized an invited lecture on '21st Century Skills for Leadership and Governance' in Dibrugarh University on March 29.

Prof. KM Buzarbaruah, former Vice-Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University, eminent agricultural scientist and academician, being the speaker of the programme, spoke on the significance of inherent traits that each and every individual needs to possess in order to deliver societal and professional responsibilities, which in turn will help the individual to develop positive attitude for commitments.

He further added that the challenges posed by the modern times have compelled people to gain new skills and know-how in addition to the knowledge gained though the experience since times immemorial.

Monuj Kr. Tamuli, president, DUOA, welcomed the dignitaries and gathering comprising Deans from various faculties, heads, chairpersons, teachers, employees and students present in the programme. The programme was inaugurated by Prof LK Nath, Vice Chancellor of Dibrugarh University with stress on leadership skill and management.

Prof. Jiten Hazarika, Registrar, Dibrugarh University, delivered the concluding remark of the programme with a high note of appreciation for organizing such programmes by the Officers' Association of the University.
