HAFLONG: Chief Executive Member of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa on Thursday visited storm-affected villages in Diyungbra area on Friday. CEM Gorlosa along with DHAC MAC Nobojit Hojai, general secretary of Dima Hasao BJP unit Rupali Langthasa and party workers, assessed the situation. The place was severely damaged on May 10, by strong winds and heavy rain.
The strong winds and heavy rain caused heavy damages and destruction to a number of houses, schools, trees, and other properties. Even the roofs of many houses were blown off due to strong winds and rain. Interacting with the people of Diyungbra, CEM assured to extend possible support from the Council while expressing dismay for such damages caused by the storm and rain.
