Dima Hasao ready for mega COVID vaccination drive on Sept 17

Dima Hasao is all set for the mega vaccination drive in 48 session sites across the district, informed Deputy Commissioner Paul Barua, at a meeting held at the DC’s conference hall on Thursday.

HAFLONG: Dima Hasao is all set for the mega vaccination drive in 48 session sites across the district, informed Deputy Commissioner Paul Barua, at a meeting held at the DC's conference hall on Thursday.

Informing the media persons, DC Paul Barua said that those people whose first dose were taken on June 21, June 22 and June 23 should mandatorily avail this opportunity given by the government for the convenience of the public. People who are yet to take their first dose or are yet to get their second dose of vaccine may take their vaccine.

Altogether, the district has targeted to vaccinate 9,431 people in various session sites as arranged by the Health and Family Welfare department in Dima Hasao. This is a step to further intensify the vaccination of COVID-19 in Dima Hasao along with the rest of the State. So far more than 60 per cent have been vaccinated with first dose in Dima Hasao while around 20 per cent have been vaccinated with the second dose.

Appealing to the public of Dima Hasao to vaccinated, the DC urged people, especially in rural areas, not to believe in hearsay and get themselves vaccinated and thus protect themselves as well as their family.
