MORIGAON: District Commissioner of Morigaon, Devashish Sharma on Friday reviewed the implementation of Jal Jeevan Abhiyan in the Morigaon district in detail at the meeting room of the District Commissioner’s office.
The meeting also directed the Public Health Technical Department to expedite the implementation of Jal Jeevan Abhiyan in Morigaon district. He said the departments concerned should work in coordination and it is a collective responsibility of the departments concerned to ensure the successful implementation of this scheme. He directed the Public Health Technical Department to proceed with a prescribed action plan to ensure that every household has access to clean water. He stressed ensuring that the public does not face inconvenience in this regard. He said the Jal Jeevan Abhiyan is a high-priority scheme and directed the Public Health Technical Department to submit a progress report every three days and a detailed report on the work plan of the department within the next two days. He also directed to ensure that the rules are followed during the implementation of the scheme. He said the Public Health Technical Department, Public Works (Roads), Water Resources, Power Department, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Public Works NH, BSNL and all parties concerned should work in a unified spirit in collaboration with the administration to make this scheme a success. He said that every department should work together to establish Morigaon district as one of the leading districts in the State.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Commissioner Dr Sangita Barthakur and Assistant Commissioner Mriganav Das along with heads of Public Health Technical Department, Public Works (Roads), Water Resources, Power Department, Panchayat and Rural Development department, Public Works NHs, BSNL etc.
