District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) takes out Pada Yatra with tricolour at Darrang

All the teaching staff and trainees of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Darrang at Dalgaon on Friday organized a ‘Pada Yatra’ at Mangaldai covering all the main roads of the district headquarter town taking the tricolor.

MANGALDAI: All the teaching staff and trainees of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Darrang at Dalgaon on Friday organized a 'Pada Yatra' at Mangaldai covering all the main roads of the district headquarter town taking the tricolor.

All the staff of DIET from Dalgaon assembled at MSA Stadium here. Mangaldai legislator Basanta Das, Deputy Commissioner Pranab Kumar Sarma and former legislator Guru Jyoti Das jointly flagged off the Pada Yatra. Deputy Commissioner Pranab Kumar Sarma in his speech appreciated the spirit of the staff and the trainees of DIET for taking part in the awareness rally as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Prominent social activist Dr Amarendra Narayan Dev, media person Bhargab Kumar Das, other dignitaries and a number of women activists, students and media persons also took part in it.
