MORIGAON: A district-level joint task force meeting was organized by the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the district administration at the DC's conference hall on Thursday. The Department of Social Welfare, supported by its line departments, organized the task force meeting, which was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Morigaon, Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia, in presence of Superintendent of Police Aparna Natarajan, ADCs, heads of all departments and CDPOs of five blocks.
Inaugurating the programme, the Deputy Commissioner asked every line department to coordinate with the Social Welfare Department in order to work for women and children. He also instructed each line department to prepare an action plan and to submit it within one week.
