District-level science meet held at Borhapjan Hindi ME School, Tinsukia

The Tinsukia district-level science meet and competitions of Aryabhatta Science Centre (ASC), Tinsukia district were held at Borhapjan Hindi ME School on Sunday.

DOOMDOOMA: The Tinsukia district-level science meet and competitions of Aryabhatta Science Centre (ASC), Tinsukia district were held at Borhapjan Hindi ME School on Sunday. The programme got underway with the hoisting of ASC flag by the working president of National Children Science Congress (NCSC), Tinsukia district, Dr. Rajib Konwar. Cultural troupes from ASC, Itakhooli Block performed two dances in the inaugural programme.

Thereafter, science model, poster drawing, extempore speech and science-based innovative idea competitions were held. The first three winners of the block-level competitions held in seven blocks of Tinsukia district took part in this competition .

The open session and prize distribution programme was held in the afternoon with Dr Rajib Konwar in the chair. Noted innovator Suren Baruah, the Principal of Bir Raghav Moran Government Model College, Doomdooma, Dr Amorjit Saikia, the DPO of Samagra Shiksha, Tinsukia, Tridip Sharma Tamuli, and others attended the meeting as invited guests.

Earlier, the District Co-ordinator of Tinsukia District ASC, Diganta Kumar Bhajani delivered the welcome address. The prizes of the competitions were distributed in the meeting among the winners. They will represent Tinsukia district in the state-level meet to be held at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre, Guwahati on May 25 and May 26.
