TINSUKIA: The District Magistrate of Tinsukia has ordered a magisterial level inquiry to ascertain the cause behind the appearance of an obscene video clip during the time of the pilot rollout of a M-15 methanol blended programme at Tinsukia by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The incident that had occurred on April 30 had caused massive embarrassment to the attending dignitaries. Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Rameswar Teli had launched the pilot rollout in the presence of the IOC top brass. According to sources, while the meeting was in progress an obscene video clipping of 10 seconds duration had appeared on the LCD screen. The police had consequently swung into action and seized the laptop and other appliances. The event had reportedly been outsourced to a private party by the IOC.

The Additional District Magistrate of Tinsukia, Monjit Borkakoti by an order vide no TMJ.2/2016/pt/35 of 01.05.2022 has been entrusted to conduct an inquiry and submit his report within 7 days.
