GOLAGHAT: Don Bosco College in Golaghat has been accredited with B+ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru.
The college was started in 2015 and was able to score a CGPA of 2.70 out of 4.00 in its first cycle of assessment. The college is affiliated to Dibrugarh University and is run by the Salesians of Don Bosco, Dimapur Province.
A three-member NAAC peer team visited the college on September 2 and September 3 and applauded the college for its well-equipped IT infrastructure and fully solar powered campus. The various initiatives such as fully digital classrooms and Moodle Learning Management System- BigBlueButton software for uninterrupted learning were appreciated by the team. The team also spoke positively on the student diversity, young and dynamic faculty and discipline of the college. The college is committed to finishing the ongoing Research & Development Centre and starting various PG courses very soon. The college is only 7 years old and was able to get such a high score because of the student-centric initiatives and focus on development of skillful learning.
