DHUBRI: Minister of State for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jitendra Singh held meetings and campaigned in Dhubri for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Dr. Debamoy Sanyal on Sunday.

Immediately after visiting Dhubri, Singh held meetings with party workers in the Dhubri district BJP party office here, attended Vasanta Utsav programme, participated in Jansampark programme and addressed people in a house in ward no. 4 of Dhubri town on Sunday. Singh, from Dhubri, went to Kalarhat village and addressed a public rally there.

While campaigning for the party candidate, Singh said that the alliance between Congress and AIUDF was an unholy one as Congress had already lost its ground across the country and now it had allied with the AIUDF but people did not trust both of them.

Singh said that the BJP had been fighting polls on the issue of all-round development of the people. "Each and every one was benefitted by the BJP-led Central Government and Assam Government through various development schemes like PMAY, Ujjawala Yojana, rice at hugely subsidized prices, free education, free medical care and many more," Singh added.

He appealed to the people to come out in large number on April 6 and vote for Dr. Debamoy Sanyal. Earlier, while addressing a gathering at Vasanta Utsav, Singh wished participants a happy Holi.
