Draft photo electoral rolls of Sidli Legislative Assembly Constituency published

As per the order of the Election Commission of India, the draft photo electoral rolls for the 31- Sidli (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) was published on Wednesday with regard to January 1, 2023 as the qualifying date.

KOKRAJHAR: As per the order of the Election Commission of India, the draft photo electoral rolls for the 31- Sidli (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) was published on Wednesday with regard to January 1, 2023 as the qualifying date.

In line with the programme, Deputy Commissioner P Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy highlighted the programme in detail after announcing the publication of the draft photo electoral rolls at a press conference held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Kajalgaon in the presence of representatives of political parties. He said that the draft photo electoral rolls had been kept for inspection of public during office hours at the offices of the Deputy Commissioner or District Election Officer of Chirang, Election Officer, Sidli and Bengtal Revenue Circle Officers, Sidli Block Development Officer, Sidli, RuniKhata, Amguri, Basugaon and Dhaligaon police stations. He also said that in case of objections, inclusion, correction and deletion or any other issues in the draft electoral rolls, the public could fill out the specific form and submit it to the District Election Officer or the officer posted at the concerned polling station between November 9, 2022 and December 8, 2022. The claims and objections will be disposed of by December 26, 2022. According to the draft photo electoral rolls published today, the total number of voters in the constituency is 2,10,884. Of these, 1,04,957 are male, 1,05,924 female and 3 are third gender. The total number of polling stations in the constituency is 269.

NAGAON: As per directive of Election Commission of India, the draft electoral rolls of seven assembly constituencies under the district election officer, Nagaon were published today. While addressing a press conference held at the DC's conference hall here, Additional Deputy Commissioner Deemple Boruah said the final electoral roll will be published on January 5, 2023. For claims and objections in connection with enrolment in the final electoral roll, voters of those seven constituencies can apply through online upto December 8, 2022, she added. As per draft electoral roll published today, the names of total 1,40,33,876 voters -among which 7,09,145 are male and 6,94,731 are female- have been enrolled while 33,482 fresh voters have been recorded in the draft. In a press note issued by the election department, Nagaon, it was stated that total 16,238 claims as well as objections in connection with enrolment were registered under the district election officer, Nagaon since January 5, 2022.

DOOMDOOMA: Along with the rest of Assam, the revised draft photo electoral rolls of No. 126 Sadiya Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LAC) were published by the Sadiya subdivision administration in the Tinsukia district on Wednesday. The revised photo electoral rolls were put on display at all polling stations, BLO/BDO office/Panchayat office/Chapakhowa Municipal Board office and at the SDO(Civil) office(Election Branch), Chapakhowa for the convenience of the public. The total number of voters of Sadiya LAC is 1,95,303. Of them, 98, 762 are male voters and 96,541 are female voters.

BISWANATH CHARIALI: As per the directions of the Election Commission of India, the draft voter list with photographs of No. 76 Biswanath and No. 77 Behali Assembly Constituencies under the Biswanath district was released on Wednesday.

At a press conference held at the conference hall of the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath, Deputy Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey informed that the names of 1,70,083 voters in Biswanath and 1,28,722 in Behali Assembly Constituencies in the district had been included in the draft roll. Of these, the number of male voters in Biswanath is 84,802 and the number of female voters is 85,281. Similarly, the number of male voters in Behali Assembly Constituency is 64,930 and the number of female voters is 63,792.

According to the Deputy Commissioner, total number of polling stations in Biswanath is 198 and of these, 19 polling stations are located in urban areas and 179 in rural areas while total number of polling stations in Behali is 154 and all are located in rural areas.

The Deputy Commissioner further disclosed that a person can file a claim and objection for inclusion in the electoral roll from today till December 8, 2022. The date for disposal of these objections has been fixed for December 26, 2022 and the final electoral roll will be published on January 5, 2023. It is to be noted that 20 Assistant Voter Registration Officers, 20 BLO Supervisors and 198 BLOs have been entrusted with the responsibility in Biswanath constituency. Similarly, 16 Assistant Voter Registration Officers, 16 BLO Supervisors and 154 BLOs have been entrusted with the responsibility in the Behali assembly constituency.
