SARUPATHAR: On the basis of secret input of two drug peddlers/drug addicts carrying psychotropic substances, a naka was set under the leadership of SDPO Trinayan Bhuyan and OC Jitumoni Deka near railway gate Sarupathar.
During the operation, a black Scooty with registration no AS 05N 5905 was stopped for checking. Police recovered 0.42 grams of heroin from their possession. The peddlers were identified as Rahul Gogoi (20), son of Dhiren Gogoi, and Raj Chutia (21), son of Thaneshwer Chutia. They are from Sewaguri village under Barpathar police station.
