BISWANATH CHARIALI: Acting on a tip off, Biswanath police intercepted one Swift Dzire Uber cab (AS-01LC/7080) coming from Guwahati on the NH-15 near Upar Baghmora under Gingia PS in Biswanath district on Monday.
Ikrazul Haque (34), driver, son of Mohsin Ali of Goladighala village, Mukalmuwa, Nalbari; Mina Bori (28), wife of Rahman Gam of Bogoriguri village, Garmur, Majuli; Rahman Gam (31), son of Kidul Gam of Bogoriguri village, Garmur, Majuli; and Manoj Kumar Das (31), son of Nauman Das of Jatiya Bhangra village, Baihata Chariali, Kamrup were apprehended. During body search of Mina Bori, one soap box and 43 plastic containers with suspected heroin (12 grams and 4 grams respectively) were also seized. Besides, 427 empty plastic containers were seized from the cab. A case was registered and further investigation is going on.
