RANGIA: The Election Commissioner of India has appointed Vaishali Malhotra, IRS, as Election Expenditure Observer for the two Assembly constituencies, viz 56 No. Kamalpur and 57 No. Rangia constituency under Rangia Election District. According to District Election Officer (DEO) of Rangia, Swapneel Paul, the Expenditure Observer reached Rangia on Friday and enquired about the election-related expenditure of the two constituencies, viz, Rangia and Kamalpur. Swapneel Paul requested the candidates to open a SB account in any bank before filing the nomination and to strictly follow the ECI guidelines and limit their election-related expenditure within Rs 30.80 lakh. Paul also instructed the political parties to mention the names and addresses of the publishers and printers in all leaflets and posters and ad materials used for election purposes.
