KOKRAJHAR: Adviser of the education department to the Government of Assam Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta on Friday visited two model schools being constructed at Ballamguri and Dologaon under Borobazar and Sidli education blocks respectively in Chirang district.
During the visit, he had a discussion with the local MLA of Sidli LAC Jayanta Basumatary, Chirang Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar Shah, MCLA Madhab Chandra Chetry, Bijni Civil Sub-Divisional Officer Rahul Gupta, Inspector of Schools Bijay Baishnab, Executive Engineer of PWD (R&B), Chirang, Abani Sharma and the general public of the locality. He took stock of the progress of works of both the model schools so as to make these schools functional. He instructed the Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) and Inspector of Schools to ensure timely completion of the infrastructural works so that classes could be started in the stipulated time frame.
