Education Minister visits Om Prakash Dinodia College of Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Minister of Education, Welfare of Plain Tribe & Backward Classes (non-BTC), Dr. Ranoj Pegu on Thursday visited Panigaon Om Prakash Dinodia (OPD) College and inspected the infrastructural development of the higher educational institutions of the southern Lakhimpur.

During his visit, the Education Minister inaugurated the Management and Information and Technology (IT) Zone of the college. Then he delivered an encouraging lecture addressing the students. He said that to be successful in life, the students should have a vision and they should translate the vision into an action plan. “It will help the students feel large goals more approachable and give them the opportunity to check in with themselves along the way,” Dr. Pegu said. He also advised the students to be punctual and complete their duties on time to make their life beautiful. “To be successful in life and to feel the real joy of life, students must be selective. Such students can bring progress to the family and lead the society,” Dr. Pegu added.

Dr. Suresh Dutta, the Principal of the college, delivered the welcome address in the programme, which was also attended by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council chairman Rukma Gohain Baruah, College Development and Management Committee president Dr. Golok Dutta, Lakhimpur District Inspector of School Hem Chandra Saikia. Moreover, a hosts of prominent persons of the greater Telahi-Kamalaboria area, including the college academic staff, administrative staff and students were present in the programme, which was anchored by Assistant Professor Dr. BD Nisha.
