Educationist Dr. Kamala Kanta Borgohain passes away in Demow

Dr Kamala Kanta Borgohain was the retired head of the Education Department at Dibrugarh University and was also a retired Professor of Moran College.

DEMOW: Dr. Kamala Kanta Borgohain (80), an inhabitant of Moran Ukhapur and an educationist, eminent litterateur and a social worker, passed away in Dibrugarh on Saturday morning. Dr Kamala Kanta Borgohain was the retired head of the Education Department at Dibrugarh University and was also a retired Professor of Moran College. He was the founder Director of Centre for Journalism and Mass Communication at Dibrugarh University. He was also associated with different social works of the area.

Chakradhar Gogoi, Moran MLA, condoled the demise of Dr Kamala Kanta Borgohain and offered his condolence to the bereaved family. Lurin Jyoti Gogoi, AJP president, also condoled the demise of Dr Kamala Kanta Borgohain. He leaves behind his wife, daughter and a host of relatives.
