DEMOW: The All Adivasi Students' Association of Assam (AASAA) Demow Regional Committee burnt the effigies of Tezpur MP Pallab Lochan Das, Jorhat MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa and Minister of State for Labour Welfare, Sanjay Kishan in Rajmai near Demow on Tuesday. The activists demanded hike in daily wages of tea garden labourers to Rs 350, providing ST status and land pattas to the Adivasis.
